Assessment Climate Index  

What if caregivers, educators and students could easily get a sense of the quality of the learning and assessment experience in a particular learning community? The Assessment Climate Index is a framework for measuring the scope and depth of a learning community’s system of assessments. It provides easy-to-read metrics that describe how a school or community-based provider uses asset-based formative assessment to support liberatory learning. The tool provides measures describing the levels of feedback and dialogue between educators and learners, individualized student supports, learner agency and self-efficacy, well-being and systemwide connection.
